This must be one of my favourite create-a-scene set of stamps by Creative Expressions and I do like to make Christmas cards in non-traditional colours.
This card is made with what has become a favourite technique of mine. The background is created with Tim Holtz distress inks and then spritzed with water. The images are from different create-a-scene stamps, stamped and heat embossed. I've then used a paintbrush and water to 'take out' the background ink.
This card doesn't show up well in the photograph. I created the butterfly by stamping and heat embossing on printable acetate and colouring with cosmic shimmers. There are 2 butterfly's mounted one on another to create the impression of flight.
I love making these picture cards using Sheena Douglass's create-a-scene stamps. I've used stamps from 3 different sets here to create my Cottage garden, and used brown Stazon ink and masking techniques. A light water colour wash was added afterwards. I do hope you enjoy looking at my dream garden.....
Here is another Fantasy Garden. Again, I have used a variety of flower stamps which were coloured with aqua Pro-markers and spritzed. The edges of the topper have been coloured with Tim Holtz distress inks. The butterfly was created by stamping and heat embossing on printable acetate and coloured with aqua Pro-markers and cosmic shimmers. I made 2 butterflys and layered one on top of the other to create a 3-D effect.
This fantasy card is made using a selection of floral stamps, coloured with aqua Pro-markers and spritzed. The butterfly is created by stamping and heat embossing on printable acetate and coloured using aqua Pro-markers and cosmic shimmers. If you look hard enough you might just see a fairy!
This was crafted from the create-a-scene garden images, using masking techniques, coloured with Pro-markers and distressed with Tim Holtz Brushed corduroy.
